Hello, you may have heard about this awesome organization called "Life Rolls On" founded by Jesse Billauer. If you have not, you need to check it out. When we took our son Angelo Sanchez (right) in 2012 to a They Will Skate Again event, he was immediately hooked on chairskating. At the event we met Robert Thompkins (left), but neither of us knew we would later begin a journey together.  After meeting three more times at similar events I asked if we could exchange information and I think Robert read my intentions. Robert threw out the invite to get together at a skatepark and I jumped at the offer.

After our meet up I asked Robert if he was up to bringing other kids out for a group get-together and he was down without hesitation. Robert and I immediately invisioned the potential growth each individual skater could receive from regular visits to a skatepark. Things like increased body to chair awareness, coordination, stamina, and an overall increase in self-confidence and self-worth trully knowing they could adaptively play just like others kids. Each skater, along with their families, receive so much from eachother that lifelong friendships are also made in the process.

Our group is growing and we have skaters currently ranging from 5 (Angelo) to 45ish (not going to dime anyone out). We welcome anyone (wheelchair skater, kneeboardskater, amputee, typical, etcetera) who is willing to give this growing sport a chance and up to having a bunch of fun! All you need is protective gear, your smile and an openess to be challenged. Hope to see ya out there!
